On Friday, April 28th, we will honor those men and women who died from work-related traumatic injury or illness at our 34th Workers Memorial Day breakfast program and memorial service. We are planning an in-person event this year and hope you can join us. Our program, the oldest and largest in the U.S., is co-sponsored by PhilaPOSH and the Philadelphia Council, AFL-CIO.
This year we will again be joined by family members from the area who have lost a loved one to a work-related traumatic injury or disease. It is our privilege to bring these family members together with the many unionists, community activists, and health and safety advocates who recognize the magnitude of their loss and are committed to fighting for healthy and safe worksites.
In addition to purchasing a ticket, you can also support Workers’ Memorial Day with a Memorial Gift. Injured workers, youth workers, and families of workers who have died attend the event for free. Memorial Gifts cover their cost of attendance and support our efforts to protect workers on the job. Your gift will be acknowledged in the printed event program.
We look forward to your participation in this year’s Worker’s Memorial Day.
We encourage all attendees to wear masks for this event.
