38th Annual Workers Memorial Day
We are honored to invite you to our 38th Annual Workers Memorial Day program on Friday, April 24, 2026. Each year, people across the world pause to remember workers who tragically lost their lives on the job. Our Philadelphia program—co‑sponsored by PhilaPOSH and the Philadelphia Council, AFL‑CIO—remains the oldest and largest in the nation.
Despite the efforts of MSHA and OSHA, too many workers—especially in high‑risk industries—still face preventable dangers. Under‑reported injuries, limited inspections, and rising workplace violence leave far too many at risk.
Our commitment is simple: every worker deserves a safe workplace. And we rely on our community to help make that a reality.
As always, we will be joined by families who have lost loved ones to work‑related injuries or illnesses. Standing with them, alongside union members, advocates, and health and safety leaders, is a powerful reminder of why this day matters so deeply.
